Aviva India is a joint venture between one of the country’s oldest and largest groups, Dabur, and Aviva Group, one of the UK’s largest insurance group, whose association with India dates back to 1834.
With a strong sales force of 14,000 financial planning advisors, Aviva has pioneered many innovative sales approaches, including the concept of bancassurance and financial health check services.
CHALLENGE
The Insurance enterprise wanted to take a step forward and increase the interaction between the users and the financial enterprise, providing users with an access to their policy information on the go. Being the first mobile initiative taken by any insurance company in India, the insurance enterprise wanted to go with a low budget launch of their first mobile application.
SOLUTION
Envesage proposed to develop a cross-platform mobile app functional on all leading mobile platforms like iOS,
Andriod, Blackberry and Windows 8. The mobile App was developed using mobile Jquery, Axaj, SQL lite, HTML5, CSS3, Java Script. Phone gap was used as a tool in this project. This was a highly unique and efficient approach as the app enjoyed all the native features without any limitations while fetching all the data via Client’s web services.
The application allows customers to check their insurance policy and fund details, request for premium receipt, pay premiums from within the app by entering their login details in the app. Apart from that, the app also list of companies product suite where it lists the number of products offered by the insurance enterprise and their description. On the individual product page, it also links to Company’s call center.
